Asase Gyefo premium Organic Fertilizer can be used in agriculture and horticulture, both in greenhouses and farm fields. Asase Gyefo helps farmers to increase their yields. After applying Asase Gyefo, the nutrients stay in the soil for a long time, improving soil health, soil structure, and fertility.
ON the farm field
There are two ways of applying Asase Gyefo Premium Organic Fertilizer on the farm field.
1. Application by broadcasting or spreading
We advise 8 – 10 (30kg) bags per plot, which is the equivalent of 32 – 40 bags per acre. One bag contains 30kg.
For fairly good agricultural soils apply 4 to 5 tons per acre of Asase Gyefo Organic Fertilizer. Apply evenly.
For sandy soils with little organic matter or heavy clay soils with poor drainage, apply 4 to 6 tons per acre.
2. Application on the land per region or per plant
You can also apply it in a more targeted way, on vegetables and flower beds. For a good result, evenly spread about 3 cm thickness of Asase Gyefo Organic Fertilizer and uniformly incorporate into the soil of the new beds about 1 to 2 weeks before planting. To apply per plant, you can use an empty milk tin (150g – 200g).
Asase Gyefo is optimised for all different types of crops. The amount needed differs per crop though. For onions, lettuce, carrots, cabbage, and tomatoes, generally crops with fibrous roots need a lesser amount of Asase Gyefo as compared with maize, sorghum, millet, hot pepper, garden eggs, and okra.
When to apply Asase Gyefo?
- You need to apply Asase Gyefo 7 to 14 days before planting
- Do not plant or transplant immediately after application
- If the application is by broadcast, the best way is to plough the land first and mix it with the soil
- Make sure Asase Gyefo is applied before harrowing
- Water the applied field at least three times before planting or transplanting, if it is not raining
- In case you already started planting, you can still apply and get the benefits of Asase Gyefo, to give the soil a boost
Please note: Asase Gyefo feeds the land. The nutrients stay in the soil for longer. In contrast with inorganic fertilizer, you don’t need to repeat the application of Asase Gyefo at every crop season. When you are planting for instance for the second time in the area where you have applied Asase Gyefo previously, you don’t need to apply it before the second planting. When too much Asase Gyefo is applied, the plant may wilt, wither and die. The seeds may not germinate. Avoid planting in compost alone – mix it with soil, coco peat, or fertilizer.
in greenhouses and nurseries
There are two ways of applying Asase Gyefo Premium Organic Fertilizer. It is very straightforward.
In the potting media, blend Asase Gyefo Organic Fertilizer at the ratio of 1:5 with another selected potting media (soil, coco peat, sawdust, etc). Fill the container (pot) with the mixture, water it and allow it to sit for 7 days before planting, water thoroughly after planting.
In the field nursery, incorporate 4 cm. thickness of Asase Gyefo Organic Fertilizer into the top 10 cm of soil.
Application for landscapers
For trees and shrubs planting: Uniformly mix Asase Gyefo Organic Fertiliser with the excavated soil of the planting hole at a rate of 1:4 (compost: soil). Backfill and firm the soil compost blend around the root ball within the planting hole and water thoroughly after planting.
For trees and shrub maintenance/ mulching: Incorporate 3 cm of Asase Gyefo Organic Fertiliser into the top 10 cm of soil. Use a higher rate for upgrading marginal soils.
