Farmer Kelly: “The Result is very impressive”

Kelly Ampofo (28) started farming in Eastern Region in 2016 and is now coordinating. He is now in charge of greenhouse crop production at Unique Vegetable Farms Limited, located in the Ashaiman region, in Greater Accra Area.  His company has thirteen greenhouses in which they cultivate tomato, pepper, and cucumber which are sold in the Ashaiman Main Market, and in hotels and restaurants in Accra. Because chemical fertilizer has become very expensive, he is looking for an affordable alternative. In his greenhouses, he did a trial with Asase Gyefo and compared it to pig dunk and chicken droppings. ‘The result’, he says, ‘is very impressive.’

How to apply asase Gyefo in the greenhouse

Asase Gyefo is perfect for use in the greenhouse. You can apply it directly onto the soil. There are three ways of doing it. Broadcasting it, applying it in regions, or applying it around the plant. In all cases, you need to apply it around two weeks before planting. Between application and planting, it needs to be watered a few times.
You can also use it for crops that grow in buckets. The best results are produced when mixing the Asase Gyefo Organic Fertilizer with cocopeat.
