Asase Gyefo is proud to have been recognized as a locally produced organic fertilizer during the 2025 Ghana Fertilizer Technical Working Group (FTWG) workshop, organized by the FAO and validated by AfricaFertilizer and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

Our Senior Agronomist, Daniel Larkai, and Commercial Manager, Solomon Tweneboah, actively contributed to the discussions and validation process, bringing the voice of organic and circular solutions to the national fertilizer dialogue.

According to the 2025 Ghana Fertilizer Statistics Overview, Ghana’s fertilizer imports and consumption increased sharply in 2024, with imports rising by nearly 90% compared to the previous year and apparent consumption reaching 535,000 tonnes. While this reflects strong domestic demand, it also highlights the country’s growing dependence on important fertilizers.

This trend underlines the importance of sustainable, home-grown alternatives like Asase Gyefo Premium Organic Fertilizer, produced right here in Ghana by Safisana.

Asase Gyefo helps farmers to improve soil health and long-term fertility, boost yields by more than 20%, reduce dependence on imported inputs, and strengthen local food security and resilience.
